ROUND UP THE USUAL SUSPECTS DAY: On the other hand ...

It's going to be one of those never-ending "round up the usual suspects" days for me. Well, actually I don't want to. Nor do I have to. I'll let them do the job themselves. And the job they're doing is proving all along that traditionalist Democrats like myself have been right all along when it comes to our dismay about the once (with reason) proud "party of the people" has become the party of the snobs.
They've built their Herod's temple of Sanhedrins (DNC), Pharisees, (eggheads and talking heads -- and I leave out Jim Carville and Paul Begala for obvious reasons because they haven't sold out their roots or forgot where they came from.) And there's the scribes.
All day long they're sitting in judgment of the people they look down on and promising all sorts of glories necessary to create a heaven on earth. Oh, they won't sit in judgment on matters of right and wrong, or the consequences of what bad private judgement might bring. Even Obama spoke eloquently to this last night. Kudos to him. Though it must've made the inner Sanhedrins of these poohbahs a bit squeamish. "Isn't that our job," they must be asking themselves, "especially if it's one we can direct particularly at those people who live in trailer parks and tract housing. ... and don't be so hard on your own people."
They promote "change" because it sounds good and know the masses will love hearing it, but in the end they know their puppets won't deliver, even if elected. The Romans of Real Life that they've sold out to will see to it that never happens. So false promises are all they can offer. (Rest assured, this part never gets mentioned to the unsuspecting public.)
Nobody gets crucified or sentenced to stoning in this little parable drawing on history. And I'm afraid it'd be impossible "to round up all the usual suspects" and haul them in to face charges of defying the temples of truth with yet more examples of political scatalogolical "reasoning," thus the pile of manure gets higher and higher. Surprisingly a retired (albeit hardly starving) High Sanhedrin isn't out protesting the awful pollution this is causing. Somebody must've reminded him of his own contributions.
All too unnecessarily well, I might regrettably add.

Roman Siege of Jerusalem, 70 A.D.
Come to think about, I wouldn't have to "round up the usual suspects" causing so much animosity, continual cycles of cynicism fueled by broken fantastical promises, etc. The Romans of Reality will send in their Legions and do the job all too well. All too unnecessarily well, I might regrettably add.
