AN OPEN "CONTEMPLATIVE" LETTER TO SEN. OBAMA
August 18th 2008 23:59
By Steven Barrett
I typed this earlier today for another writer's forum I belong to. Though I'm not generally into borrowing from myself, fatigue has momentarily overtaken my fingers after a long day.
Dear Senator Obama,
I listened with specific interest to your befuddled response to the Rev. Warren's question about when "human rights" begin for an unborn child. The secular world, of course, prefers the neutral term "fetus."
Sadly, your answer reflected an enormous degree of severe intellectual and legal vacuity. It also demonstrated a glaring lack of any sufficient specific knowledge about human reproduction on your part. You did learn your facts of life in high school; am I correct?
So, I've been contemplating this question for a few days:
What's God's "pay grade"?
Sincerely,
A very amused citizen (one among many, no doubt!)
PS: You should immediately instruct your staffers to discontinue so many rumors about you walking on water. Apparently Reverend Jeremiah didn't properly catechise you and fill you in on a very specific point: While pride is his specialty, walking on water is WAY above your pay grade.

But he'll pay dearly when the GOP meets in MN.
